Abstract Reindeer husbandry is the primary livelihood for over 24 Indigenous peoples. herding culture and civilization are unique in Arctic; today, however, they no longer form foundation economies of peoples some Circumpolar regions. Modern reindeer experiencing challenges such as climate change, loss pastures, languages cultures, opportunities through new technologies. This chapter introduces husbandry, leadership, traditional knowledge, adapting capacity discussed further this volume.
